HELLO I’M ASHLEY,

My goal is to support you in seeking the best version of yourself.

I believe you are the expert on your own experience. It is my hope that together we can co-create the safety within our session to take off the mask and face the struggles you are dealing with together. I utilize evidence based practices such as CBT, DBT, SFBT, MI and ACT to teach you the skills you need to best navigate through difficult life circumstances.

I have worked in a variety of professional settings, including at the US Department of Veterans Affairs treating combat veterans experiencing co-occurring mental health disorders and substance abuse in the virtual space. I also have clinical experience in facilitating group therapy with transient populations experiencing homelessness at the San Diego Rescue Mission, as well as experience working with the County of San Diego in Child Welfare Services Adoption Departments, helping to provide safety and permanency for children.

I am currently a Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker, and received my Masters Degree in Social Work from California State University San Marcos.

I believe in adjusting my therapeutic style to what you find most helpful based on your unique personality. Our diverse backgrounds, cultures, spiritual or religious beliefs, and places in our families and communities help to shape us, for better or worse. Together, we’ll pull from these experiences to identify your personal strengths and use those strengths to identify and contend with the areas of opportunity where you desire growth. I seek to truly understand your individual needs and will work with you to set achievable goals to create the lasting changes you want. I am profoundly humbled by my clients and deeply honored to walk alongside you on your therapeutic journey.

I was lucky enough to be born in San Diego and have spent the last 20 years in this beautiful city’s sunshine and salt air. In my free time I love hiking with my lab, Macy, binging on cooking shows, and reading books that give me a peek into the life and perspectives of others.
