HELLO I’M KATHERINE,
I have been working in the mental health field since 2013, becoming a licensed MFT in 2018. I have worked in a variety of settings including a psychiatric hospital, middle school, low income clinics, and dual diagnosis facilities. I have worked with all ages and genders, dedicating most of my career to those that struggle with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance abuse issues. I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families, helping them learn and use coping tools to manage life’s stressors and return to a state of balance. I am EMDR trained and DBT certified, however utilize multiple modalities based on client needs, including CBT, client centered, and motivational interviewing. I am passionate about working in mental health, as I have seen a growing need for therapeutic support and an access to resources. My professional goal for 2023 is to complete my eating disorder training. While my education provides me with the knowledge and clinical experience needed to help, I also have a passion for listening and acknowledging a client’s strengths not yet accessed. I look forward to furthering my career in a group setting, where client care is primary.
