POPULATION FOCUS
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who works with adolescents, families and adults. I graduated from the University of Southern California and have worked in various settings including in-patient psychiatric hospitals, emergency rooms, and school settings – providing mental health services to diverse populations. I use an eclectic approach, using various treatment modalities, to individualize my approach with each client for best results.
My passion and specialty include working with individuals who have experienced relational trauma and are stuck in unhealthy relationship patterns. I am EMDR trained and I use an attachment lens to help clients understand their personal patterns of connecting with others and how they impact their relationships and mental health.
As your therapist, we will explore relationship patterns in your life that leave you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, and resentful. I will help you understand the early childhood experiences that may have contributed to unhealthy behavior patterns and the negative beliefs about yourself. These patterns feed our emotional state and play out in our closest relationships. We will work on changing these beliefs about yourself and teach you skills to change these patterns to improve your interactions with your loved ones.
